Chin State Tours

Chin State is one of the least developed areas in Myanmar. It offers an authentic, rural culture, far away from mass tourism. Only accessible by boat, the river is also the lifeline of the villages.

 

Because of its isolation, tourism in Chin State is still in its infancy. But villages in Chin state offer a lot: beautiful mountain scenery, genuine people and a truly authentic cultural experience. Main attraction are the tattooed ladies, and each of them has a very special story to tell.

 

Tours through the Chin State are a great way to link the two fascination sites of Myanmar: Bagan and Mrauk U. Alternatively one would have to spend 20hrs on a long distance bus. Even a flight does not make it much easier to get to Mrauk U. The tours can be organized starting and ending either in Mrauk U or Bagan.
